To date, in Ukraine, sold and used more than 30 types (design options) UAV. They are developed by all aviation institutes and enterprises of the air industry.

The prospect of the UAV market is estimated as very high – in the next 3-5 years the annual sales growth will be more than 100%.

Today, civilian UAVs are used in various industries. In Ukraine, 8 industries are the main sources of demand: infrastructure, agriculture, transport, security, media and entertainment, insurance, telecommunications, mining.

By the end of 2017, the world market of unmanned aerial vehicles for personal and commercial use should grow by 34% and exceed $ 6 billion. By 2020, this figure could reach a volume of 11.2 billion dollars. This is stated in a study by Gartner. According to experts, the greatest use of UAVs for commercial use is expected in the oil and gas, energy and infrastructure sectors. At a slightly lower rate, application in agriculture will grow. At the same time, Gartner is skeptical about the widespread use of drones in the delivery of goods, the main reason for this analysts is the unprofitability of such projects.
